Italian Sausage and Peppers

I made this and had company for dinner. I doubled the recipe since it was very easy to put together. I will make this again!

Italian Sausage and Peppers

1 pkg Italian fresh sausage links
1 green pepper, sliced
1 red pepper, sliced
1 large onion, sliced
1 jar spaghetti sauce

In a skillet put sausage links and about 1/2 cup of water. Let the sausage simmer for about 7 minutes, then turn the links over and simmer for about another 7 minutes. Beth did not do this.  I browned the sausages and cut them into pieces. Remove sausage from skillet and drain on paper towel. Take a fork and pork holes on each side of the sausage to remove some of the excess grease or liquid. Cut the sausages in four pieces each. Put peppers, onions, sausages and spaghetti sauce in crock pot. Cook on high for one hour, turn crock pot to low and cook for another four or five hours. Beth cooked on low for 8-9 hours. Serve over spaghetti.
