Fresh Cranberry Pear Chutney

This was a new recipe we tried for Thanksgiving.  We adapted it by doubling the recipe and using a whole bag of fresh(or frozen works) cranberries.  This was a HIT and made for great leftovers!

Fresh Cranberry Pear Chutney
adapted from Weight Watchers

2 large pears, unpeeled, cored and diced
1/4 c fresh chopped cilantro
3 T chopped dried cranberries***We used fresh
2 T chopped onion
1 T pickled or fresh jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped
1 T lime juice
1/2 t salt.

Mix all ingredients and toss to coat.  Let stand 10 minutes for flavors to blend.  Serve or cover and refrigerate up to 1 day.
