2 pounds lean ground sirloin
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 teaspoon liquid smoke
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon brown sugar, packed firm
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon rubbed sage
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
garlic salt to sprinkle before drying
Mix all the seasonings together and pour over the beef. Mix well and put on trays. Sprinkle with garlic salt.
I have a jerky gun and it goes together quickly.
Set your dehydrator for the meat setting and the meat should be dry in 4-5 hours. Yum!
